Johann Aloys Dauzenberg

Johann Aloys Dauzenberg (born April 15, 1831 in Burtscheid , † December 23, 1907 in Kaiserswerth ) was a Catholic pastor. He sat in the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation .

Life

Aloys Dauzenberg attended high school in Aachen . He studied theology at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and attended the seminary in Cologne . In 1854 he was ordained a priest. Then he was chaplain in Wittlaer and Raeren and pastor in Siegburg for eight years . From 1869 until the end of his life he was pastor in Kaiserswerth. As a pastor he looked after the insane asylum of the Rhine Province in Siegburg.

For the constituency of Cologne 5 ( Siegkreis , Waldbröl ) Dauzenberg came to the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation in February 1867 . He belonged to the faction of the Free Association . From 1870 to 1879 and from 1892 to 1903 Dauzenberg was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives , in which he represented the constituency of Cologne 4 ( Mülheim - Wipperfürth ) as a member of the Center Party .
