Alphons Martini

Alphons Martini (born August 1, 1829 in Saulgau ; † April 14, 1880 in Biberach an der Riss ) was a German medic .

Life

Alphons Martini was born as Ferdinand Martini's son on August 1st, 1829 in Saulgau and studied medicine , surgery , obstetrics and natural sciences at the universities of Munich , Vienna and Tübingen . From 1850 to 1852 he received further training in Paris by attending doctors' offices and lectures by professors, then in Vienna and London . 1851 doctorate he in Munich for medical doctor . After passing the state exams, he worked as a medical officer in Ochsenhausen for 15 years . In 1869 he moved to Biberach , where he continued a surgical practice. In 1870 and the following year there was a war. Many wounded soldiers were in a military hospital of the Sisters of Mercy housed and treated by Martini.

Martini later had the plan to move to a larger city and open a private clinic there, but he died earlier at the age of 50 in Biberach on April 14, 1880. Since his life was busy with operations, he left no written works .
