The Alpina D4 is a mid-range passenger car model from the small series manufacturer Alpina Burkard Bovensiepen , which is based on the 4 series from the automobile manufacturer BMW . It was produced as a coupé and convertible . It is the diesel version of the Alpina B4 , but in contrast to it is only available with rear-wheel drive . The D4 was revised in March 2017. The series was discontinued in summer 2018.
