The Alpina D3 Biturbo is a car from the vehicle manufacturer Alpina . It has been in production since 2008 and is based on the BMW 3 Series. It is the diesel version of the Alpina B3 .

The Alpina D3 Biturbo is based on the BMW E90 . It has a biturbo-charged diesel engine with an output of 157 kW (214 hp). The D3 Biturbo, produced from 2008 to 2013, was available as a sedan , touring and coupé .

The D3 is equipped with a front and optional rear spoiler. The BMW exhaust system was replaced by a chrome-plated twin tailpipe. In addition, Alpina decorated the vehicles optionally with stripes in silver or gold, on the sides and on the front. There are no BMW emblems in the interior, only the Alpina emblems, and on request in the seats. In the middle of the sky, by the switches for the interior lighting, you will find a kind of badge that contains the manufacturer's logo and the model of the car. A special feature is that you can read on the sticker which vehicle number is involved. The Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo was built a total of 1301 times. The number of units is distributed as follows: Sedan 478, Touring 534 and Coupé 289. The BMW N47 D20, which has been modified by Alpina in areas such as the exhaust and intake system as well as engine management , has a maximum output of 157 kW (214 hp). The intercooler was installed from the BMW N57 D30OL, the rear axle drive from an E90 325d.

The Alpina D3 Biturbo was presented at the IAA 2013 . It is based on the BMW F30 . The D3 Biturbo is available as a sedan and touring with a three-liter in- line six-cylinder - bi-turbocharger - diesel engine with a maximum output of 257 kW (350 hp). The Touring is also available with all-wheel drive based on BMW xDrive .

The series based on the BMW G20 was presented by Alpina in May 2020. The biturbo-charged diesel engine has 261 kW (355 hp). The model will be available as a sedan and touring from November 2020 . Both variants have all-wheel drive as standard .
