The Alpina B6 is an upper middle class passenger car model from the small series manufacturer Alpina Burkard Bovensiepen , which is based on the 6 series ( E63 , E64) from the automobile manufacturer BMW .
Model history
The B6 made its formal debut as a Cabriolet E64 at the IAA in autumn 2005 and as a Coupé E63 at the Tokyo Motor Show of the same year. Like the B5 S, the engine was a supercharged 4.4-liter V8 engine with a maximum output of 368 kW. In autumn 2007, with the facelift, which was also presented at the IAA, the name was changed to Alpina B6 S and the maximum engine output was increased to 390 kW. In 2011 the coupé and convertible were replaced by the B6 biturbo .
Performance
In contrast to the BMW M6 based on the BMW E63, which was electronically limited to 250 km / h, the B6 runs over 300 km / h. The convertible version based on the E64 series is one of the fastest four-seater convertibles in the world with a top speed of 310 km / h and 313 km / h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.8 seconds. The Coupé only needs 4.5 seconds for this.
Alpina B6 GT3
The Alpina B6 GT3 is a Gran Turismo racing car of the GT3 group based on the B6 of the E63 series and was used in the ADAC GT Masters from 2009 to 2011 .
