The Alpina XD3 is a middle class passenger car model from the small series manufacturer Alpina Burkard Bovensiepen based on the BMW X3 . The vehicle has been sold since 2013.

No Alpina version was built based on the first generation of the X3 ( BMW E83 ). It was not until March 2013 that the manufacturer presented the Alpina XD3 based on the second X3 generation ( BMW F25 ) at the Geneva Motor Show . The first XD3 generation was powered by the 257 kW (350 PS) three-liter diesel engine known from the Alpina D5 Biturbo .

The second generation of the XD3 was presented again at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2018. It is based on the BMW G01 and is powered by a three-liter diesel engine with a quad turbo charger.

Registration numbers
Since the market launch up to and including December 2018, a total of 581 Alpina XD3s have been newly registered in the Federal Republic of Germany. 2014 was the most successful sales year with 147 units.
