Alpy (mascot)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alpy was the official mascot of the 1992 Winter Paralympics in Albertville, France .

description

Alpy is a stylized mountain peak in the shape of a pyramid. Designer Vincent Thiebaut took the Grande Motte , a mountain in the Vanoise massif in the French Alps, as a model for the mascot. Alpy was shown on a monoski , this should underline the sportiness. The mascot's colors, white, green and blue, represented purity, nature and hope, as well as water and discipline.
