Altbreitenfelderhof (in the local dialect Brärefeld or Brädefeld ) is a district of Jägersburg , which in turn is a district of the Saar-Palatinate district town of Homburg in Saarland .

The Altbreitenfelderhof is around 7 km northwest of Homburg at an altitude of 316  m above sea level. NHN .

history

The Altbreitenfelderhof was first mentioned in a document in 1710. Altbreitenfelderhof had its own school until 1957, and the building is now used as a residential building. The school bell is still in the former school yard and rings daily at 11 a.m. There is a restaurant and riding stables in the center of the village. There is a small cemetery on the outskirts.

With the bus line 505 of Saar-Mobil GmbH there is a connection via Jägersburg to Homburg or in the other direction via Höchen to Bexbach . The Saarland circular hiking trail leads past Altbreitenfelderhof around the entire state. Until the 1960s there were ten full-time farmers and a few part-time farmers in Altbreitenfelderhof.   • Neubreitfelderhof (locally Neihof ): In 1763, Duke Christian IV of Pfalz-Zweibrücken leased the wasteland between Altbreitenfelderhof and Waldmohr to Jacob Ringsisen. The tenant built the estate at his own expense. The four-sided courtyard has been uninhabited since the last owner died . The land belonging to the farm was leased to the surrounding farmers.
  • Websweilerhof: Behind the main town in the direction of Websweiler is the 92 hectare Websweilerhof. The Websweilerhof golf course is located on part of its site. The deceased of the Websweilerhof occupy a separate department in the Altbreitenfelderhof cemetery, in which the only crypt in the city of Homburg is located.
