The mining town of Altenau-Schulenberg in the Upper Harz is a village in the mining and university town of Clausthal-Zellerfeld in the Goslar district of Lower Saxony . It was created through the dissolution of the mining town of Altenau and the community of Schulenberg in the Upper Harz Mountains, as well as the rebuilding of the mining and university town of Clausthal-Zellerfeld on January 1, 2015.
