Altenauer Moor

The Altenauer Moor nature reserve is located in the municipality of Saulgrub in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district in Upper Bavaria . It is part of the FFH area “Moore im upper Ammertal” (8332-371).
The 57.8 ha area with the number NSG-00097.01, which was placed under nature protection in 1973 , extends north of the core town of Altenau . The Ammer flows to the west and the B 23 runs to the east . The deep sea lies in the area .
