The nature reserve Buckelwiesen am Geißschädel lies in the area of the municipality of Krün in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Upper Bavaria . The area is part of the FFH area Mittenwalder Buckelwiesen (8533-301).
The 27.5 hectare area with the number NSG-00324.01, which was placed under nature protection in 1994 , extends northeast of the Krün district of Klais and west of the core town of Krün. The B 2 (= E 533 ) runs along the eastern edge and south . To the north are the 3.75 ha Grubsee and the 55 ha Barmsee . The Isar flows to the east and the 35.2 hectare Buckelwiesen nature reserve on the Plattele extends to the west .
