Altgernsdorf is north of Wildenaube and east of Weida on a high plateau in the northeast Thuringian slate mountains . The village can be reached via the federal road 92 and a local road . The boundary of the district is cropped .

history

The district was first mentioned in a document on June 25, 1230. 100 inhabitants live in the village. On December 31, 2013, the place came to the municipality of Langenwetzendorf, because Wildenaube was incorporated.
