Neuärgerniß is a district of Langenwetzendorf in the Greiz district in Thuringia .
location
Neuärgerniß is in the west of the municipality of Langenwetzendorf in a forest aisle on federal highway 94 . The eastern neighbor is Göttendorf . The district is located in the Thuringian Slate Mountains . To the south of Neuärgerniß lies the Pöllwitzer Wald nature reserve .
history
Neuärgerniß was first mentioned in a document on March 10, 1727. The abundance of forests was also decisive for the establishment of the village in Neuärgerniß, first a forester's house was built, which was located in the territory of the Reuss (older line). During a visit in 1734, the princely administration ordered the establishment of a stud in order to manage the cleared areas sensibly. The wood felled by loggers could not be used on site, the trunks were stacked on the banks of the shoot and shipped to Gera as raft wood. The prince of Gera spoke of a "new annoyance" - which is how the unusual place name is interpreted. A chamber property was built next to the storage area, but the agricultural area of barely 50 hectares and the yield of the soil were low. A street inn, the Waldschlößchen, was opened in the village in 1851; there was a chaussehaus as a toll collection point along the road. The houses built along the access road for the 20 or so families of farm laborers each had a workroom on the ground floor, in which a loom could be found; in 1870, 21 linen weavers were counted in Neuärgerniß.
