Nowa Cerekwia (German German Neukirch ) is a village with 922 inhabitants in the urban and rural municipality of Kietrz , Poland . The place is located six kilometers west of the city of Kietrz on the Troy , has around 900 inhabitants and belongs to the powiat Głubczycki , Opole Voivodeship .

history

In 1912 Deutsch Neukirch had 971 inhabitants, and Bieskau, which was later incorporated, had 831 inhabitants.

In 1937 these two places were merged into one municipality and were given the new name Altstett .

From 1818 to 1945 they belonged to the Upper Silesian district of Leobschütz and came to Poland after the end of the Second World War .
