As aluminum bronze a golden yellow, is castable and forgeable copper alloy with aluminum , respectively. The aluminum content is usually between 9% and 14%. Other common alloying elements are iron , manganese and nickel . The five and ten pfennig coins minted in the German Reich from 1923 to 1939 and the fifty pfennig coins minted there from 1923 to 1925 consisted of such an alloy . Sometimes an aluminum powder suspension is also referred to as aluminum bronze as a paint.
