Álvaro Ferrer Vecilla
Álvaro Ferrer Vecilla (born March 17, 1982 in Granollers ) is a former Spanish handball player .
He was under contract with BM Granollers until 2011 . With Granollers he played in the EHF Cup (2004/05, 2007/08) and in the European Cup Winners' Cup (2005/06, 2009/10). In the 2011/12 season he ran for Ademar León , with whom he took part in the EHF Champions League . A season later he joined Atlético Madrid , with whom he won the trophy in 2013. In the summer of 2013, the back player signed a contract with Portuguese champions FC Porto . In February 2014 he moved to the German Bundesliga club TSV Hannover-Burgdorf, which he left again after the 2013/14 season. After Ferrer subsequently played for the Spanish second division team BM La Roca de la Plata, he moved to the first division team BM Aragón in February 2015 . After Ferrer joined the lower class club BM La Roca in 2017, he returned to BM Granollers in January 2018. He ended his career after the 2018/19 season.
Alvaro Ferrer was in the extended squad of the Spanish national team , for example for the 2010 European Handball Championship . Ferrer played 9 international matches in which he scored 15 goals.
