The Alvis 11/40 was a car that Alvis made from 1921 to 1922.

The car had a four-cylinder in - line engine with valves on the side . Equipped with a single Solex carburetor, the engine with 1598 cc had an output of 30 bhp (22 kW) at 3800 rpm.

The 11/40 was available as a four-seat touring car or two-seat sports tourer (roadster). The front and rear rigid axles were suspended from semi-elliptical leaf springs. The top speed was 96 km / h. In 1922 it was replaced by the almost identical successor 12/40 .
