Aman Wote
Aman Wote (born April 18, 1984 in Kabet, Tigray region ) is an Ethiopian middle -distance runner who specializes in the 1,500 meter distance .
In 2010 he finished seventh at the African Championships in Nairobi , in 2011 fifth at the Pan-African Games in Maputo and in 2012 fourth at the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul . At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, he was eliminated in the preliminary stages, at the 2013 World Championships in Moscow in the semi-finals.
Wote celebrated his greatest success so far at the 2014 Indoor World Championships in Sopot, Poland, by winning the silver medal in the 1,500-meter run. In May he improved the Ethiopian national record to 3: 30.86 minutes in Doha , before becoming the first Ethiopian to stay below the 3:30 minute mark in Monaco in July with 3: 29.91 minutes.
