Amaury Golitin (born January 28, 1997 in Cayenne , French Guiana ) is a French athlete who specializes in sprinting .

Athletic career

Amaury Golitin gained his first international experience in 2015 when he reached the semi-finals in the 100-meter run at the European Junior Championships in Eskilstuna and was eliminated there with 10.80 seconds, while he was eliminated with the French 4-by-100-meter Relay won the bronze medal in 40.02 s. The following year he failed at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz with 10.54 s in the semifinals, as well as at the U23 European Championships 2017 there with 10.52 s. With the relay he finished there in 39.86 s in fourth place. In 2018 he won the U23 Mediterranean Championships in Jesolo in 10.07 s over 100 meters and in 39.72 s also with the relay. This gave him a starting place for the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona , where he was eliminated in the first round with 10.67 s. Nevertheless, he qualified over 100 meters for the European Championships in Berlin , where he was eliminated with 10.55 s in the semi-finals.

In 2019 he was sixth in the 60-meter run in 6.67 s at the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow and then he was disqualified at the World Relays in Yokohama with the 4-by-200-meter relay. At the U23 European Championships in Gävle he reached seventh place in 10.38 s and won the silver medal behind Germany in 39.57 s with the relay. With the season he took in late summer at the world championships in Doha in part, where the season in the finale did not reach the goal. Then he won the bronze medal over 100 meters behind the Iranian Hassan Taftian and Paulo André de Oliveira from Brazil at the World Military Games in Wuhan in 10.35 seconds .

In 2020 van Golitin became French indoor champion in the 200-meter run.
