Amei-Angelika Müller

Amei-Angelika Müller (born February 6, 1930 in Neutomischel near Posen , † May 6, 2007 in Herrenberg ) was a German author who became known to a large audience through her humorous books.

Life

Müller (née Lassahn) grew up with two older and four younger siblings in a pastor's family - first in Kuślin near Posen and from 1937 to 1945 in Bromberg . In January 1945 the family fled west to Boxberg .

After graduating from high school in 1950, she wanted to become an actress . Her father was against it and so she began to study law in Göttingen . There she met Manfred Müller, a theology student.

After the marriage in 1955 she became - like her mother - a "pastor's wife" and also the mother of two sons. After stints in Hohenlohe , the pastor couple Müller went to Stuttgart to the Pauluskirche, then to the Andreäkirche in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt and finally to the Stuttgart Markuskirche. Manfred and Amei-Angelika Müller spent their retirement near Rottenburg am Neckar .

She was buried in the Fangelsbach cemetery in Stuttgart .

Works (selection)

In 1978, Amei-Angelika Müller started to write books that impress with their fine sense of humor and their wisdom and achieved high editions. In her books she has dealt with her own childhood, youth and student days and the many years as a “pastor's wife”. She also processed her literary appearances on television in 1968 in the quiz programAlles oder alles ” ( quiz master : Erich Helmensdorfer ) with the topic “Wilhelm Busch”.
