Amen ( kor. 아멘 ) is a South Korean film drama of director Kim Ki-duk from the year 2011 . Its premiere took place on September 17, 2011 at the San Sebastián International Film Festival .

A young South Korean woman travels to France to look for her friend, a street painter. When she arrived in Paris, she found out that he was supposed to be living in Venice in the meantime. On the night train there, she is drugged by a stranger wearing a gas mask and then raped and robbed by him. When she cannot find her boyfriend there either, she begins an odyssey through Europe. The mysterious stranger visits her again and again in her sleep in order to gradually give her back her possessions. When she learns that she is pregnant, she decides to have an abortion , but the stranger presses her to carry his child to term.
