Amos (* 1976 in Tehran as Amir Sufi-Siavach) is a German pop singer and producer of Iranian origin. He lives in Munich .

Amos was born in 1976 in Tehran, the son of an Iranian doctor and a German artist. He mastered the recorder at the age of five, began playing the piano a year later and took classical music lessons for over ten years. During this time, Amos won numerous national competitions (including Jugend musiziert ) and gave many concerts. He has been playing the guitar since he was 15. He founded several bands whose musical styles ranged from rock music to funk . During this time Amos began to write, sing and record his own songs. With his rock band Trashkids he was an integral part of the support program for The Bates for over two years .

In 2006 his first official release, I Can't Stop My Feet, was released as an EP . The accompanying video in a Hamansutra gold suit brought Amos cult status in social network communities. The following album, Imperator of Pop , was released in June 2007 by Sounds of Subterrania and contained twelve classically arranged pop songs.

In November 2007 Amos distributed 30,000 neon yellow stickers around the MTV Europe Music Awards in Munich with a reference to the free download of his song MTV is Killing Me . The campaign was discussed in numerous press and online features (Myspace, Vanity Fair, Spiegel, SZ etc.). The song was used on a massive scale by commercial radio stations as well as rotations in the campus area and today it has the status of a classic. Even MTV legend Steve Blame was impressed (official statement: “How fantastic is that ?!”).

At the beginning of 2008 Amos presented the Playback Payback campaign . All participants who destroyed their favorite record received an Amos album for free. Submitting the video evidence was enough. The campaign got stacks of press and online features. Amos shot an entertaining and explanatory short film with the actor Jörg Rühl. The film ran u. a. at the Oberhausen Film Festival.

In summer 2008, Amos gave a concert in the movie Robert Zimmermann Is Tangled Up in Love by Leander Haussmann . In the same year AMOS shot a music video for his song Bla Bla with actress Julia Dietze .

In 2009 Amos wrote the theme song for the film City Kill .

Since 2010 Amos has been working with the Munich producer Bartellow as the formation Columbus . Her debut EP Love Machine was released in May 2010 on the Austrian label Estrela .

Also in 2010 Amos released his rock album Showtime with the Sounds of Subterrania label . Showtime is also an international art project. The record was released on vinyl, initially with a white cover, which was edited by over 400 visual artists from around the world. The artists live in Munich, Berlin , Paris , London , New York , Los Angeles , the Philippines , Budapest , Rome and Barcelona . The works come from all creative genres: from illustration , product and fashion design to urban street art to tattoo art and visual arts . The respective designers themselves set the selling price for the album including the artwork. The unique pieces have been exhibited and offered for sale in an online gallery created just for the project since August 26, 2010. The project was promoted during a five-week tour through Germany and Switzerland with exhibitions of around 50 covers each and Showtime release concerts. Vernissage and concert took place in the same city and on the same evening. In 2011 the AMOS Showtime received an "iF design award". In 2012 she was nominated for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany .

In 2011, AMOS separated from Sounds of Subterrania and founded his own label Mayolove Music . He started with AMOS, COLUMBUS and the Berlin artist WOSIMSKI . The single Hubble by COLUMBUS is the first release ("release") on Mayolove Music. a. Reviews in Lodown Magazine and SPEX. In June 2011, Bayerischer Rundfunk named COLUMBUS "Bavarian Band of the Week".

Work as a designer

Until 2007, Amir Sufi-Siavach was the managing partner of the designliga and worked as a designer and director for Adidas , Bench , Bayerischer Rundfunk , Cartier , MTV , Universal and many more. So far he has received six awards from the iF Industrie Forum Design , three red dot design awards and two nominations for the design award of the Federal Republic of Germany . Sufi-Siavach currently holds a lectureship at the Munich private university Blocherer Schule and is a managing partner of the Mayolove design agency. With his partner Franz Hartung, Sufi-Siavach created the complete artwork for the DLD conference by Hubert Burda Media in 2007, 2008 and 2010 . Other clients are Adidas, Belstaff , Deutsche Post AG , Levi's , Sat.1 and SevenOne Intermedia . In 2011 AMOS Showtime won an IF Design Award in the Advertising | Campaigns excellent.
