Amphoe Fak Tha ( Thai อำเภอ ฟากท่า , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː fâːk tʰâː ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Uttaradit . The Uttaradit Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .

Neighboring counties (clockwise from the east): the Ban Khok , Nam Pat and Tha Pla districts in Uttaradit Province and Na Muen district in Nan Province .

The largest river in the county is the Maenam Phat (Phat River) , a tributary of the Mae Nam Nan (Nan River) .

history

Fak Tha was first established in 1937 as a subdistrict ( King Amphoe ) of Amphoe Nam Pat . On July 20, 1958, Fak Tha was promoted to Amphoe.

Local administration

Fak Tha ( เทศบาล ตำบล ฟากท่า ) is a small town ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district, it consists of parts of the Tambon Fak Tha and Long Don.

There are also four “Tambon Administrative Organizations” (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) for the tambon in the district that do not belong to any city.
