Amphoe Ban Khok ( Thai อำเภอ บ้าน โคก , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː bâːn kʰôːk ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the extreme northeast of the province of Uttaradit . The Uttaradit Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .

geography

Neighboring counties (clockwise from the south): Nam Pat and Fak Tha district in Uttaradit province and Na Muen and Na Noi district in Nan province . In the east, Amphoe Ban Khok borders the Sayaburi Province of Laos .

The main river in the county is the Maenam Pat (Pat River) , a tributary of the Mae Nam Nan (Nan River) .

history

Ban Khok was initially set up as a subdistrict ( King Amphoe ) on July 1, 1977 by separating the two tambon Ban Khok and Muang Chet Ton from the Amphoe Fak Tha . On August 12, 1987, Ban Khok was promoted to Amphoe.

Local administration

Ban Khok ( เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน โคก ) is a small town ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district, it consists of parts of the Tambon Ban Khok.

There are also three “Tambon Administrative Organizations” (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) for the tambon in the district that do not belong to any city.
