Amphoe Na Muen ( Thai : อำเภอ นา หมื่น ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the south of Nan Province . Nan Province is located in the northeast of the northern region of Thailand .

Neighboring counties (clockwise from north): Amphoe Na Noi in Nan Province, Amphoe Ban Khok , Fak Tha and Tha Pla in Uttaradit Province, and Amphoe Mueang Phrae and Rong Kwang in Phrae Province .

history

Na Muen was initially set up on October 9, 1978 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by being separated from the Na Noi district . It originally consisted of the Tambon Na Thanung, Bo Kaeo and Mueang Li. On July 4, 1994 Na Muen was upgraded to Amphoe.

There is one municipality with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Bo Kaeo (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ่อ แก้ว ) consisting of the complete tambon Bo Kaeo.

There are also three " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)

  • Na Thanung (Thai: องค์การ บริหารส่วน ตำบล นา ทะนุ ง ) consisting of the complete tambon Na Thanung.
  • Mueang Li (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล เมือง ลี ) consisting of the complete tambon Mueang Li.
  • Ping Luang (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ปิ ง หลวง ) consisting of the complete Tambon Ping Luang.
