Amphoe Bo Kluea ( Thai อำเภอ บ่อ เกลือ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the east of Nan Province . Nan Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .

geography

Neighboring counties (clockwise from the south): the districts of Mae Charim , Santi Suk , Pua and Chaloem Phra Kiat of Nan Province. To the east lies the Sayaburi province of Laos .

history

Bo Kluea was initially set up on February 15, 1988 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by separating the two tambon Bo Kluea Nuea and Bo Kluea Tai from the Amphoe Pua . On September 7, 1995, Bo Kluea was promoted to Amphoe.

Attractions

National parks :
- Khun Nan National Park ( Thai อุทยานแห่งชาติ ขุน น่าน ) - 248 km² park with numerous waterfalls, such as the three-tier Huai-Ha waterfall (Thai: น้ำตก ห้วย ห้า ) with a drop of up to 50 meters or the six-tiered waterfall Huai-Ti waterfall ( Thai น้ำตก ห้วย ตี๋ ) with a drop height of 25 to 30 meters.
