Amphoe Nam Pat ( Thai อำเภอ น้ำปาด , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː náːm pàːt ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the east of the province of Uttaradit . The Uttaradit Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .

geography

Neighboring counties (clockwise from the south): the Chat Trakan district of Phitsanulok Province and Thong Saen Khan , Tha Pla of Uttaradit Province. In the north Na Muen of the province of Nan as well as Fak Tha and Ban Khok from Uttaradit. In the east is the Laotian province of Sayaburi .

economy

Hand-woven cotton fabrics are made in Nam Pat County . These cotton fabrics with traditional patterns are five-star OTOP products.

history

In 1917 the district was named after its main tambon Saen To , in 1932 it got its historical name Nam Pat back.

With effect from February 14, 2015, the Tambon Tha Faek from the neighboring Amphoe Tha Pla was assigned to the Amphoe, because the Sirikit Reservoir separated it from the rest of the Amphoe and the authorities in Nam Pat were closer.

Attractions

  • National parks :
    • Khlong Tron National Park (Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติ คลอง ตรอน ) - 518 km² park consisting mainly of pristine jungle . The highest mountain is Doi Phu Miang ( ยอด ดอย ภู เมี่ยง ) with a height of 1656 meters. Also worth seeing are the numerous waterfalls, such as the three Huai-Kom waterfalls ( น้ำตก ห้วย คอม ), three closely spaced falls with a height of 20 meters, or the Huai Sai waterfall ( น้ำตก ห้วย ทราย ) with a height of 35 meters. Two caves can also be visited in the mountains.
