Amphoe Nong Suea ( Thai : อำเภอ หนองเสือ , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː nɔ̌ːŋ sɯ̌a ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the eastern part of Pathum Thani Province . The province is located in the central region of Thailand directly north of Bangkok and is part of the Bangkok Metropolitan Region .
etymology
In the area of what is now Nong Suea County, there used to be a pond that was often visited by wild tigers that lived in the mountains of the neighboring provinces of Saraburi and Nakhon Nayok. Therefore, the residents called this area "Tiger Pond" ( Nong Suea ).

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Wang Noi of Ayutthaya Province , Amphoe Nong Khae and Wihan Daeng of Saraburi Province , Amphoe Ban Na and Ongkharak of Nakhon Nayok Province, and Amphoe Thanyaburi and Khlong Luang of Pathum Thani Province.
