Amphoe Panare ( Thai : อำเภอ ปา นา เระ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the Province of Pattani . The Pattani Province is located in the southeast of the southern region of Thailand .
geography
Neighboring counties and areas are (clockwise from south): Sai Buri , Mayo and Yaring district in Pattani Province. In the north and east lies the Gulf of Thailand .
Amphoe Panare includes the small, uninhabited rock island Ko Losin in the Gulf of Thailand. There is controversy between Thailand and Cambodia as to whether it is significant enough to be considered when determining Thailand's exclusive economic zone (200 mile zone).
history
The name Panare comes from the Malay language , where Pata means beach and Tare means a type of trawler . So does Pata Tare a beach where trawls can be air dried. Over time, the pronunciation of pata tare changed to panare.
Attractions
There are six beautiful sandy beaches in the district, which are often lined with pine trees , but also coconut palms . Some, such as Hat Ma Ruat, can only be reached by footpaths.

Local administration
There are two small towns ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the county:
- Panare ( เทศบาล ตำบล ปะนาเระ ) consists of the whole tambon Panare.
- Pho Ming ( เทศบาล ตำบล พ่อ มิ่ง ) consists of the whole tambon Pho Ming.
The remaining eight tambon are each managed by a “tambon administration organization” (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
