Amphoe Phu Kamyao ( Thai : อำเภอ ภู กาม ยาว ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in Phayao Province . Phayao Province is located in the northeastern part of the northern region of Thailand .

geography

Phu Kamyao District is bordered from the north clockwise seen at Amphoe Pa Daet the province of Chiang Rai and to the Amphoe Dok Khamtai , Mueang Phayao and Mae Chai Province Phayao.

history

Phu Kamyao was first established on July 1, 1997 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by being separated from the Amphoe Mueang Phayao .

On May 15, 2007 the Thai government decided to raise all 81 King Amphoe to simple amphoe status in order to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette "Issue 124 chapter 46" on August 24, 2007 this decision officially entered into force.

Local administration

There is one municipality with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Dong Chen (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดง เจน ) consisting of the parts of the tambon Dong Chen, Mae Ing.

There are also three " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)

  • Huai Kaeo (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ห้วย แก้ว ) consisting of the complete tambon Huai Kaeo.
  • Dong Chen (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ดง เจน ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Dong Chen.
  • Mae Ing (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล แม่ อิง ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Mae Ing.
