The forest estate district was dissolved on September 30, 1928 and the area went to the communities of Kisdorf and Winsen. On April 1, 1937, Bredenbekshorst was incorporated into the community of Struvenhütten. Hüttblek was incorporated into the municipality of Sievershütten on April 1, 1939 and separated again on April 1, 1951.
In 1948 the administrative district was dissolved and the municipalities formed the Kisdorf office. After the dissolution of the Ulzburg office on January 1, 1969, Wakendorf II joined the office.
