Official municipalities
history
The office was formed as the district of Rickling after the annexation of Schleswig-Holstein by Prussia from the communities of Rickling (with Daldorf) and Fehrenbötel.
After the dissolution of the administrative districts, the Rickling office was formed on June 1, 1948 from the two municipalities of the former administrative district and the municipality of Heidmühlen. Heidmühlen, however, left on December 1, 1948 at his own request. Heidmühlen then formed with the neighboring community Großenaspe the Office Großenaspe. On April 1, 1953, Daldorf became an independent municipality - as it did before 1937. On January 1, 1970, Fehrenbötel was incorporated into Rickling at its own request.
On April 1, 1970, the Großenaspe office was dissolved and the Heidmühlen community came back to Rickling. With the incorporation into the city of Neumünster , Gadeland left the Boostedt office on April 26, 1970. On January 1, 1971, the Boostedt office was dissolved. Boostedt became an office-free municipality and the communities Groß Kummerfeld and Latendorf, which had previously belonged to the Boostedt office, came to the Rickling office.
On January 1, 2008, the Boostedt community joined the Rickling office. The office was renamed to Amt Boostedt-Rickling after joining , and the official seat was relocated to Boostedt.
