history

On July 13, 1992, the Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg gave his consent to the formation of the Steinhöfel / Heinersdorf office. July 21, 1992 was set as the date of establishment of the office. The office was based in the municipality of Steinhöfel and initially consisted of ten municipalities in what was then Fürstenwalde :

  1. Arensdorf
  2. Beerfelde
  3. Buchholz
  4. Demnitz
  5. Hasenfelde
  6. Heinersdorf
  7. Janickendorf
  8. Neuendorf
  9. Schönfelde
  10. Steinhöfel
  11. Temple mount

On December 31, 2001, the municipalities of Arensdorf, Beerfelde, Hasenfelde, Heinersdorf, Jänickendorf, Schönfelde, Steinhöfel and Tempelberg merged to form the new municipality of Steinhöfel. On October 26, 2003, the municipalities of Buchholz, Demnitz and Neuendorf im Sande were incorporated into the municipality of Steinhöfel. The Steinhöfel / Heinersdorf office was dissolved and the Steinhöfel community vacated. The municipality of Neuendorf lodged a municipal constitutional complaint against its incorporation into the municipality of Steinhöfel before the constitutional court of the state of Brandenburg, which, however, was rejected. Gölsdorf, which was incorporated into the municipality of Schönfelde in 1974, received the status of a district.
