The district court of Bad Mergentheim , based in Bad Mergentheim, is one of 108 district courts in Baden-Württemberg . It is a court of ordinary jurisdiction .

The municipalities of Assamstadt , Bad Mergentheim , Creglingen , Igersheim , Niederstetten and Weikersheim belong to the judicial district .

Courthouse

The district court with the address Schloss 5 is housed in a building in the outer castle of Schloss Mergentheim .

Responsibility and duties

The district court is the first instance civil , family and criminal court . The register of associations and property law is also kept at the local court. As an enforcement court, it is responsible for all enforcement cases in which the debtor is domiciled in the judicial district.

The District Court of Ellwangen , the Higher Regional Court of Stuttgart and the Federal Court of Justice are superordinate to the Bad Mergentheim District Court .
