The District Court of Ellwangen , based in Ellwangen, is one of 108 district courts in Baden-Württemberg . It is a court of ordinary jurisdiction .

The municipalities of Adelmannsfelden , Ellenberg , Ellwangen , Jagstzell , Lauchheim , Neuler , Rainau , Rosenberg , Stödtlen , Tannhausen , Unterschneidheim , Westhausen and Wört belong to the district of the Ellwangen District Court .

Courthouse

The district court is located at Schöner Graben 25 in Ellwangen.

Responsibility and duties

The district court is the first instance civil , family and criminal court . The register of associations and property law is also kept at the local court. As an enforcement court, it is responsible for all enforcement cases in which the debtor is domiciled in the judicial district.

As a concentration court, it is also responsible for family and lay judges' matters in the district of Neresheim, youth lay judges in the districts of Aalen, Bad Mergentheim, Crailsheim, Langenburg and Neresheim as well as civil status and agricultural matters for the entire district of Ellwangen.
