District Court of Kenzingen
The district court of Kenzingen is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of ten district courts in the district of the regional court of Freiburg .
Seat and District of the Court
The seat of the court is Kenzingen . The judicial district includes the cities of Endingen , Herbolzheim and Kenzingen as well as the communities of Bahlingen , Forchheim , Rheinhausen , Riegel , Sasbach , Weisweil and Wyhl . This means that around 53,900 people live in the judicial district (as of December 31, 2018).
Jurisdiction
The district court of Kenzingen is the court of first instance in civil and criminal matters, as well as in matters of voluntary jurisdiction . However, the District Court of Emmendingen is responsible for family , lay judge and detention matters .
For Mahnsachen is Stuttgart District Court and agricultural matters , the District Court of Freiburg in charge.

The District Court of Freiburg is directly superior to the District Court of Kenzingen . The competent higher regional court is the higher regional court in Karlsruhe and in civil matters its external senate in Freiburg. The highest court is the Federal Court of Justice .
