The Oberkirch District Court is a small district court in the Black Forest, one of six district courts in the district of the Offenburg District Court . The local courts belong to the ordinary jurisdiction .

building

The district court has its seat in Oberkirch (Baden) in the historic office building at Hauptstraße 48. This building was built in 1704 by Oberamtmann von Brodeck and was the seat of the officials or senior officials of the Strasbourg prince-bishop . From 1758 to 1772 it served as the mint of the Strasbourg prince-bishops.

Above the portal is the coat of arms of the former rule of Oberkirch and of Johann Evangelist von Brodeck. The district court shares the building with the police station.

Judicial district

The Oberkirch District Court is locally responsible for the cities of Oberkirch , Renchen and Oppenau and the municipalities of Bad Peterstal-Griesbach and Lautenbach .

Jurisdiction

The district court performs the duties assigned to it in accordance with the Courts Constitution Act in the administration of civil and criminal justice. The state of Baden-Württemberg has designated the Stuttgart District Court as the central dunning court for dunning procedures . For family matters the Family Court when is Amtsgericht Offenburg responsible.

The District Court of Offenburg, the Higher Regional Court of Karlsruhe and the Federal Court of Justice are superordinate to the District Court .
