The District Court of Radolfzell is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of seven district courts (AG) in the district of Konstanz .

Seat and District of the Court

The court is based in Radolfzell on Lake Constance and is responsible for the municipalities of Gaienhofen , Moos , Öhningen and Radolfzell.

In principle, the district court is responsible for all matters relating to the district court in civil, family and criminal matters. In addition, the trade , association and property law register is kept here.

Superior courts

The District Court of Constance is superordinate to the District Court of Radolfzell, and the Higher Regional Court of Karlsruhe .

history

The Radolfzell District Court was founded in 1857 as part of the separation of jurisdiction and administration in Baden during the state reorganization after the revolution of 1848/49. The court was superordinated to the court court of the Seekreis in Constance, which was replaced by the Constance District and Court Court in 1864 and the Constance Regional Court in 1879.

The Radolfzell District Court has been housed in the former knighthood house at Seetorstrasse 5 since 1876. The Radolfzell Chambers of the Villingen-Schwenningen Labor Court are also located in the building .
