André Dosé
André Dosé (born May 10, 1957 in Bolligen ; legal domicile in Horgen and Bolligen) is a Swiss manager . He is the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Crossair , Swiss and Gulf Air . From 2012 to December 2013 he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Grasshopper Club Zurich . André Dosé lives in Münchwilen in the canton of Aargau.
Career
André Dosé grew up in Bolligen. After the traffic school in Biel , he completed an apprenticeship as an air traffic employee at Swissair . At the age of 17 he made the aircraft certification . After six years with Swissair, he went to the United States, where he trained as a professional pilot and worked as a pilot for six years. He also flew spray flights in Louisiana .
Crossair
From 1986 to 2002 Dosé worked in various functions for Crossair . In contrast to Moritz Suter, who is known as impulsive, Dosé had the reputation of being very balanced.
Plane crashes
Because of the crash of Crossair flight 498 with ten deaths on January 10, 2000 near Nassenwil, the Federal Prosecutor's Office brought charges against six former Crossair officials, including Moritz Suter and CEO André Dosé, in October 2007 . She accused Suter and Dosé, among other things, of having been responsible for a “fear culture” at the airline, which led to the deliberate disregard of regulations. The proceedings were discontinued by the Federal Prosecutor's Office due to the statute of limitations and unproven breaches of duty of care .
Suter, Dosé and four other employees were charged with negligent manslaughter and grossly negligent bodily harm in the crash of Crossair flight 3597 with 24 deaths near Bassersdorf on November 24, 2001 , and were fully acquitted on May 16, 2008. The court awarded the six acquitted compensation totaling 851,000 francs (of which 836,000 francs defense costs). The Federal Criminal Court in Bellinzona found no causal connection for the crash, including in the charge of Suter's “aggressive expansion policy”.
Swiss
Dosé was the first CEO of Swiss from March 2002 to 2004 , but resigned under the pressure of criminal proceedings because of the Crossair crashes in Bassersdorf and Nassenwil.
Gulf Air
Dosé assumed the office of CEO of Gulf Air on April 1, 2007, and announced his resignation on July 23, 2007. Conflicts between management and the board of directors are said to have prompted the Swiss to take this step. His successor was Björn Näf, also a former Swiss manager.
