André Poggenborg (born September 17, 1983 in Münster ) is a German goalkeeping coach and former soccer goalkeeper .

Career

Poggenborg came in 2002 from the U-19 in the first team of Preußen Münster . After three years he left the club and moved to MSV Duisburg , where he was only used in the second team. After a year at BV Cloppenburg , he switched to Sportfreunde Lotte in the summer of 2007 . Including one appearance in the DFB Cup , Poggenborg played 100 competitive games for Lotte in three years. At his next stop in Trier, he won the Rhineland Cup in 2011 . Two years later he moved to SC Fortuna Köln . After winning the Middle Rhine Cup in 2013, he rose to the 3rd league with Fortuna 2014 as a champion . For the 2017/18 season Poggenborg vacated his regular place in goal and replaced Tim Boss . He also took over the post of goalkeeping coach in personal union. With SC Fortuna Köln, he was relegated to the Regionalliga at the end of the 2018/19 season , which ended his contract there.

After a six-month break without a club , Poggenborg has been working as a goalkeeping coach for third division club SV Meppen since the second half of the 2019/20 season .
