Andrea Thompson
Rebecca Andrea Thompson (born January 6, 1960 in Dayton , Ohio ) is an American actress . She was best known for leading roles in the television series Falcon Crest , Babylon 5 and NYPD Blue .
Life
Andrea Thompson comes from a Catholic family and has four siblings. When she was six years old, the family moved to Australia . After graduating from high school , she traveled around the world for five years and then began studying acting in New York . She then went to Hollywood, where she made her first film appearance in 1986. She played her first significant role in the film Wall Street directed by Oliver Stone in 1987 .
In 1989 she first played a leading role in the soap opera Falcon Crest . From 1994 to 1995 she played the telepath Talia Winters in the first two seasons of the science fiction series Babylon 5 . From 1996 she played the cop Jill Kirkendall in four seasons of NYPD Blue . In 2000 she left the series to work as a journalist in the future. First she worked for the local station KRQE, which belongs to CBS, in Albuquerque , New Mexico . In June 2001 she became a newscaster for CNN , but left the station in March 2002. Since then she has been working again as an actress.
Andrea Thompson has been married twice and has one son. From 1987 to 1990 she was married to David Guc. Her second husband was from 1995 to 1997 Jerry Doyle , a fellow actor from the series Babylon 5 .
