Andreas Baltschun

Andreas Baltschun (* in Herford , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German film editor for cinema and television productions.

Life

Baltschun grew up in East Westphalia-Lippe . He is a son of the First Chief Detective Inspector Klaus-Werner Baltschun (1944–2013) and the trained fashion designer and artist Uta Elisabeth Baltschun (1942–2013).

After studying at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, his debut feature film Für Elise , directed by Wolfgang Dinslage , won the main prize at the Festival of German Films . The following feature film, Sputnik by Markus Dietrich, won the German Film Critics Prize and was nominated for Lola . Andreas Baltschun also works as a guest lecturer at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF) and as an editor at Macromedia ( FH ) Munich.

He was the editing assistant to Monika Schindler , who became his mentor.

Baltschun is a member of the Federal Association of Film Editing Editor eV
