Andreas HH Suberg

Andreas Heinz Hugo Suberg (born March 13, 1958 in Essen ) is a German composer, sound and media artist who publishes under the name of Andreas HH Suberg .

Life

Andreas Suberg received piano and organ lessons from 1964 and from 1972 to 1978 his first artistic training from the art collector and Beuys friend Franz Joseph van der Grinten . After graduating from the Collegium Augustinianum Gaesdonck , from 1978 to 1983 he studied art, visual communication and music at the universities of Giessen and Frankfurt. Almost at the same time he studied piano from 1981 to 1986 with Dr. Hoch's Conservatory , Frankfurt as well as composition there with the Austrian composer Gerhard Schedl . From 1986 to 1993 he studied composition with Toni Völker and studied piano with Grigory Gruzman at the Academy of Music in Darmstadt. From 1994 to 1999 he finally studied electronic composition with Hans Ulrich Humpert in the studio for electronic music at the State University of Music in Cologne .

During his student days he founded the Glasotronik project in 1990, which he has been artistic director ever since. In addition to various lectureships for free and controlled improvisation within the part-time music teacher training in Germany and Switzerland since 1992, he was a lecturer for interdisciplinary work at the Institute of Arts of the Freiburg University of Education , 2005 to 2006 for media art at the State University of Design, Karlsruhe. In 2000 he founded the Klang Art Studio Freiburg. In 2012, the Freiburg composers interest group was founded on his initiative.

The most important work approach in his work is the "generation of multimedia worlds as an option for multi-sensory reception". In this context, since 1990 u. a. Videos, sound objects, sound / space / video installations and graphics.

His compositional and artistic work combines visual art and music.
