Andreas Keller (born March 31, 1967 in Pirmasens ) is a German musician specializing in percussion and drums .

Life

Andreas Keller is the son of the painter Klaus Heinrich Keller (1938–2018) and grew up in Rodalben . He had band experience in rock, pop and jazz from an early age. For two years he was a student of his role model Charly Antolini in Munich , until he was trained at the renowned PIT drum school in Los Angeles from 1988 to 1990 . He has lived in Munich since 1991 and has completed around 150 TV shows with the “Bond Brother Band” on Thomas Gottschalk's late night show . He works as a professional drummer in the film and media sector and teaches at various music schools such as the New Jazz School in Munich . He is also an author for trade magazines and as a producer u. a. working for Andreas Bourani .

As a drummer he has played with musicians such as Jennifer Rush , Ian Anderson , Bobby Kimball ( Toto ), La Bouche , Bill Evans and Al Di Meola . In 2000 he founded the “Percussion Project” together with Sigi Schwab and Ramesh Shotham . Sigi Schwab and Peter Horton have been working with him and bassist Thomas Müller since 2011, also under the band name “Guitarissimo XL”. Since July 2016 he has been the drummer of the Munich band Spider Murphy Gang .
