Andreas Lombard (* 1963 in Hamburg ), formerly Andreas Krause Landt , is a German journalist and publisher .

Life

Andreas Lombard, who was called Andreas Krause Landt until 2013, is a paternal great-grandson of the French Calvinist pastor Jules Sully Lombard (1866–1951). He studied philosophy , German literature and history at the University of Heidelberg and the Free University of Berlin . He completed his studies in 1993 with a master's thesis entitled Topographies of the Sublime. Alienation and aestheticism at Peter Weiss.

He then worked as a dubbing screenwriter and from 1996 as a freelance journalist, including for the Berliner Zeitung and Deutschlandradio Kultur , and as a book author.

In 2005 he founded Landt Verlag , which mainly published works on the history of the 19th and 20th centuries and has been an imprint of the Manuscriptum Verlagbuchhandlung since 2010 . From 2013 Lombard was head of the Manuscriptum Verlagsbuchhandlung Thomas Hoof KG. Since 2017 he has been editor-in-chief of the two-month magazine Cato, which was founded in the same year together with the pioneer of the " New Right " Karlheinz Weißmann .

He received the 2007 by the Foundation for Conservative Education and Research and the weekly newspaper Junge Freiheit conferred Gerhard Loewenthal Prize for journalists.

Lombard acted as a moderator at events organized by AfD Saxony in 2017. On October 25, 2018, Lombard and Klaus Kelle moderated the panel discussion "Media and Opinion" with Nicolaus Fest (AfD) and Michael Klonovsky as well as Peter Frey (editor-in-chief ZDF) and Kai Gniffke (editor-in-chief ARD-aktuell ) at the invitation of the AfD district association Dresden ).
