Andreas Lorenz (journalist)
Andreas Lorenz (born March 28, 1962 in Nuremberg ) is a German journalist and author .
Career
Following his school education, Lorenz began studying mathematics , physics and German at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in 1980 . He broke off his studies after six semesters and began an editorial traineeship at Südkurier in early 1984. This was followed by work as an editor and journalist at Südkurier from 1986 .
In 1987 he moved to Berliner Morgenpost , first as an editor in the sports department, and from 1998 as head of the sports department. He also took on this position from 2001 in the merged sports department of the newspapers "Berliner Morgenpost", Die Welt and der Welt am Sonntag of the Axel-Springer-Verlag .
In 2004 he moved to the Berliner Kurier of the Berliner Verlag as head of the sports department , which has been part of the M. DuMont Schauberg media group since 2009 . Since mid-2015 he has also been a member of the newspaper's chief editor.
In addition, Andreas Lorenz works as a freelance writer and columnist in the field of sports, including for the website boxen.com.
