Andreas Lutz (carpenter)

Andreas Lutz (full name Heinrich Richard Andreas Jakob Lutz ; also called Heinrich Jakob Lutz for short ; * October 7, 1728 in Hanover ; † February 5, 1794 ibid) was a German carpenter and purveyor to the court - master carpenter .

Life

Andreas Lutz was the son of the master carpenter Johann Erhard Lutz from Vaihingen and father of the later master carpenter Andreas Jakob Lutz . He married Louisa Agnesa Wiesener and had 7 sons and 7 daughters with her.

Andreas Lutz built several properties in Hanover and then sold them for a profit. In 1763 he was appointed court carpenter.

After his death in 1794 he was buried in the garden cemetery. “His own” had a classical obelisk built on his grave . This tombstone bore the inscription

"Heinr. Andre
as Jakob Lutz "

By misleading hyphenation in the name "Andre -as" the tomb was in the vernacular as " ogre named -Grab".
