Andreas Minnich

Andreas Minnich (born October 2, 1974 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). He has been a city ​​councilor in Korneuburg since 2011 and has been a member of the National Council since October 23, 2019 .

Life

After primary school in Korneuburg, Andreas Minnich attended the secondary school of the school brothers in Strebersdorf and the commercial academy in Korneuburg. He then did military service . After an internship at IBM , he joined the family business in 1998, the Minich fashion house in Korneuburg, founded by Gottfried Minnich in 1860 as a general store, which he is now the fifth generation to manage.

Minnich has been a member of the municipality of Korneuburg since 2006, where he became city ​​councilor for economy and culture in 2011 . In the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce , he is a member of the regional committee for the trade in fashion and leisure goods , and in 2016 he became deputy chairman of the Korneuburg district of the Wirtschaftsbund . In the 2019 National Council election, he ran for the ÖVP behind top candidate Eva-Maria Himmelbauer in the Weinviertel regional constituency . On October 23, 2019, at the beginning of the XXVII.
