Andreas Züst

Andreas Züst (born September 1, 1947 in Bern , † August 7, 2000 in Hinwil ; legal resident in Wolfhalden ) was a Swiss photographer , painter , scientist , publisher and collector from the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden .

Life

Andreas Züst was a son of Albert Züst and Katharina Feller, grandson of Adolf Feller and nephew of Elisabeth Feller . In 1977 he married Denise Müller, a daughter of Max Müller, insurance inspector. From 1967 to 1970 he studied natural sciences at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and sociology at the University of Zurich . From 1973 to 1980 he was research assistant for climatology and glaciology in Canada, Greenland and the Swiss Alps . From the 1970s he began his photographic and painting activities. From 1979 he showed solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad. In 1994 he founded the Andreas Züst Verlag. In his artistic work Züst was interested in social phenomena and natural phenomena. From 1991 to 1994 he was co-producer of the film Picture of Light . From the mid-1990s he worked with Peter Weber on the Tonbildschau Himmel .
