Andreas di Bernardo
Andreas di Bernardo (born June 22, 1977 ) is a former Austrian triathlete.
Career
Andreas di Bernardo was active in athletics in his youth and started for the first time in 1997 as a 20-year-old at the Ironman in Klagenfurt (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running).
Triathlon professional since 2006
The trained chef started as a triathlon professional for the club HSV-Triathlon Klagenfurt in 2006.
In September 2008 he was third at the Ironman UK in Sherborne . He was the first and so far only Austrian to win a medal here. (As of September 2018)
In 2009 he was able to qualify for a starting place at Ironman Hawaii for the third time.
After a traffic accident in July 2009, he had to pause for some time and end his career as a professional athlete.
Andreas di Bernardo is married and lives in Klagenfurt with his wife and two children . Today he works as a coach and trainer.

- In 2008 he was awarded the Sports Badge of Honor of the City of Klagenfurt for Active in Silver.
